David, Panama to Panama City, Panama

After staying one road soaked night in David, Panama, it was time to get to Panama City, which would be my final major city in Central America. My front tire on my KTM 1290 Super Adventure was now leaking at about 15 PSI per hour, not good and I was also running low on coolant.  The roads were pretty much straight highways and the weather was beautiful one moment and pouring with rain the next. I was beginning to think that is all that happens in Panama, is rain!

It was an 189 mile (299 kilometers) trip to Panama City, but I took my time, and had to stop about every hour to inflate my front tire to 30 PSI, so it was beginning to be a pain in the arse!.

I passed through towns on my way to Panama City, such as San Felíx, Veladero, Canto del Llano, Aguadulce District, San Carlos District, La Chorrera and onto my final destination over the bridge of Americas (cool) to my final big city destination in Central America, Panama City

Panama City, Panama

Panama City, the capital of Panama, is a modern city framed by the Pacific Ocean and man-made Panama Canal. Casco Viejo, its cobblestoned historic center, is famed for colonial-era landmarks like the neoclassical Palacio Presidencial and bougainvillea-filled plazas lined with cafes and bars. The Miraflores Locks offers views of ships traversing the canal, an essential shipping route linking the Atlantic and Pacific.

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Panama Canal

The hotel is right on the canal, has a decent swimming pool and good views. The hotel itself is a little dated. There is also a TGI Fridays in the building for dinners, but nothing much in the way of local food, where you will have to walk to one of the nearby restaurants to get some nice seafood.

I was able to park my moto right out front, the staff was helpful and friendly. WiFi was just ok, resulting in losing a star and the rooms, whilst clean were a little dated.

The location is not right in the heart of the city, requiring about a 15-minute drive into the city.

Good service, decent amenities, bed was nice and comfortable, very average WiFi.
