My journey from Mulegé to La Paz took me around 8 hours with the first part of the trip spectacularly sweeping along the Atlantic Ocean. I was starting to get into the trip, getting better at packing and unpacking the bike, finding better places to stay, what and where to eat and no longer feeling like I had been through the ringer after each day’s ride.
The road to Mulegé was one of the more sensational rides of my journey. The first hour or so out of Bahía de Los Ángeles was simply stunning, and it would be just a taste of things to come jumping from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and back to the Atlantic Ocean again, incredible!
So here I was, all ready by morning to get on my bike and head for Bahía de los Ángeles, all packed up and ready to go. And someone had blocked my bike from getting out. I had parked up a short lane, and someone with a pickup parked right behind me, on the footpath.
After spending a few nights near Ensenada, Mexico, I decided to head to Baja California to San Felipe. Much of the trip was offroad, and it was a pretty tough day of riding. The Rever App Crashed, and it actually took around 9 hours.

This video is for people both wanting to get into the Baja Peninsula from Tijuana (who do not need a vehicle import permit) and also onto the Mexico Mainland (people who do need a vehicle import permit).
What a day for my travels, finally I cross into Baja, California, on my way to El Bajio, Mexico! I could not sleep the night before, as I was pretty excited and a little nervous at the same time. New country, new experiences and my first border crossing.
So, finally, I am on my last day across America and heading to Long Beach, California. I crossed through the Mojave Desert and touched on Route 66 but mainly stayed around Route 40, which was a fantastic road.
After spending just one night in nights in Tucson, Arizona, I decided to do a detour and head on up to The Grand Canyon and then see how far I could get towards California and crash the night somewhere close to the state line.
After spending two nights in El Paso, Texas, I decided to head to Tucson, Arizona and take a short detour into Tombstone, Arizona. Rever crashed, so part of the trip is missing from the Rever Map.
After spending the morning taking snaps as the sun rose at The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, I decided the long ride of over 900 kilometers was to get to El Paso in Texas.
