After spending two nights in El Paso, Texas, I decided to head to Tucson, Arizona and take a short detour into Tombstone, Arizona. Rever crashed, so part of the trip is missing from the Rever Map.
The scenery was starting to get a lot more interesting, with more options to get off highways and onto some of the older, but still well-maintained roads, which allows for more sweeping turns. After about a week of roads and straights, it was a nice change.
This particular riding day to Tucson, Arizona, took around 7 hours, so it wasn’t so bad, and with more scenery entering in my vision, was even quite pleasant.
Tombstone, for all its fame, was a bit of mess, very commercial, but nevertheless, the cemetery was pretty cool.
The trip took me from El Paso, Texas, Arena, Colombus, Hachita, Lordsburg, San Simon, Bowie, Benson, Vail, Littletown, Tombstone and onto my destination in Tucson, Arizona.
My KTM 1290 Super Adventure was trekking well, and I was getting around 480 kilometers (300 miles) per tank.
Today’s ride was 370+ miles (600 kilometers) but still took me around 7 hours as I went along the border at first then headed inland before trekking south to Tombstone and then back up to Tucson, where I would spend only one night.
