After traveling to Barcelona a few times, I thought I would try Sevilla (Seville) in Spain, which is on the South Coast and in the region known as Andalusia I booked a lovely Villa on Airbnb.com right near the Alamada De Hercules which is on a very large square with the Rio Guadalquivir River only a few minutes walk away.
Sevilla has just so many beautiful streets, buildings and historical monuments. Much like Barcelona, it is a widespread city, so going by foot is not an option. Luckily you can hire bikes pretty much everywhere around city (large deposit). The tour bus also goes to all major areas and you can get a horse buggy also for a more intimate ride around Giralda and Alcázar of Seville.
I would suggest around 3-5 days to see all of the major sights like the Seville Cathedral, Giralda, Alcázar, Maria Luisa Park, Metropol Parasol and bridges of Sevilla. It is a great city and probably only second to Barcelona in places you must visit in Spain. The people are very tribal (Andalusian) and the food is amazing.
